Voice assistant

Say Hey, Turbo and the glasses start listening. No button, no phone in your hand.

What it can do

  • Answer questions out loud through the speakers in the temple arms.
  • Describe what you are looking at when you ask about the scene in front of you.
  • Start a photo or a recording by voice.
  • Handle calls - answer, end or reject without reaching for your phone.
  • Control music - play, pause and skip.

Hearing you in a noisy place

Two ENC microphones cancel the noise around you and isolate your voice, which is what lets the assistant work on a street or in a busy cafe rather than only in a quiet room.

Hearing it back

The speakers are directional. Sound is aimed at your ear rather than pushed out in every direction, so a reply stays reasonably private and you can still hear traffic and conversation around you. These are open-ear, not sealed earbuds - that is deliberate, and it is what makes them safe to wear while walking or cycling.

What it needs to work

  • Your phone nearby, paired over Bluetooth LE 6.0
  • The free AIbuds app running in the background
  • An internet connection - answers are generated in the cloud, not on the frame

Without a connection the glasses still take photos, record video and play audio. It is only the assistant and translation that need to be online.
