Camera and recording
The camera sits in the top corner of the frame, level with your eyeline. What you photograph is what you were actually looking at, rather than what you managed to point a phone at.

- Video: 1600 x 1200 at 30fps
- Storage: 2GB on board
The video frame is 4:3, not widescreen. It is a taller, squarer picture than a phone records, which suits the way you actually see a scene but does mean it will letterbox if you drop it straight into a widescreen edit.
Taking a shot
- Short press on the temple button takes a photo.
- Long press starts recording, and pressing again stops it.
- You can also start either by voice, without touching the frame at all.
The 12-minute limit
A single video clip runs to a maximum of 12 minutes. When it reaches that point the file saves on its own and you start a new clip.
We would rather say this plainly than let you find out at a wedding: these are built to catch moments, not to film an event from start to finish. Continuous voice recording is a separate mode and runs for up to 120 minutes.
Getting footage onto your phone
Everything transfers over dual-band Wi-Fi 6 through the AIbuds app. The glasses create their own connection to the phone, so there is no cable and no memory card to take out. With 2GB on board it is worth clearing files off every so often.
The recording light
An indicator on the front of the frame lights whenever the camera is running, so the people in front of you can see it. Please use these considerately: tell people when you are filming, and put the glasses away in changing rooms, bathrooms and anywhere else people reasonably expect privacy.
