Translation

Three separate modes, all driven from the AIbuds app with the audio coming through the glasses. Which one you want depends on how the conversation is shaped.

Text and audio

For things that are not a conversation: a street sign, a menu, a printed notice, or a recording you already have. You get the translation back as text and read-aloud audio.

Conversation mode

For two people speaking in turn. Each person talks, pauses, and hears the other in their own language. This is the mode for ordering food, asking directions or dealing with a hotel desk - anywhere the exchange is short and takes turns naturally.

Simultaneous interpretation

The translation keeps running while the other person is still talking, instead of waiting for them to finish. It is built for meetings, lectures and anything where stopping every few sentences would be impractical.

There is a short lag while it processes, and it works best when one person is speaking at a time rather than several people talking over each other.

What it needs

Translation is processed in the cloud, so it needs mobile data or Wi-Fi. It will not work offline.

Languages

Coverage is set by the AIbuds app rather than the hardware, so the list changes as the app is updated. If a particular language pair matters to you, message us before you order and we will confirm it is supported.
