The hard part isn't buying. It's choosing.
Almost nobody lands here asking whether AI glasses are worth it. You've already decided they are. What stops you is the catalogue: Smart 01 through Smart 06, Vira Sight, Vira Ultra, Vira Ride, each in clear or photochromic, some in two metals, one in five colourways.
Most of them share the same core. Open-ear speakers. Dual microphones. A camera at eye level with an LED that lights when it's on. A voice assistant. IPX4 or better against sweat and rain.
So the differences that matter are narrower than the catalogue makes them look — and they're the ones nobody puts in a headline. How the frame sits on your face. Whether the lens tint changes on its own. Whether the camera resolves detail you'll actually crop into. Whether it survives a rainy descent at 40km/h. Get those four right and the rest is colour.

Vira Ultra

If you don't have a specific reason to buy something else, buy this one. It's the only model in the range that solves the two problems every other pair leaves you with: it runs out of charge on a long day, and it's the wrong tint half the time.
The case is the whole argument. 2000mAh of extra power in a leather case, and a full recharge in 40 minutes. Drop them in over lunch and you get the rest of the day. Around 11 hours of playback and 96 hours of standby means you stop thinking about the battery at all — which is what everyone actually wants from a wearable.
Lenses come out. Anti-blue clear for a screen day, sunglasses for the terrace, photochromic if you want one set that does both. One $119 frame instead of three pairs on your desk.
IP65 means rain, not swimming. Every other frame in the range is IPX4 — fine for sweat and a shower of drizzle. IP65 adds dust and low-pressure water jets, so a genuine downpour or a hose-off after a dusty walk is inside spec. Submerging it never is, on any model.
The camera is 8MP ultra-wide with 3280×2464 stills, video at 1600×1200 and 30fps. Clips cap at 12 minutes and save themselves, then transfer over Wi-Fi 6 in the AIbuds app — which is fast enough that offloading a morning's footage isn't a chore you postpone. Say “Hey, Turbo” and it answers without your phone leaving your pocket.

Consider another model if: the 35g square TR90 frame doesn't suit your face — it's one shape only, no alternatives. Go to the Smart 01–04 family for four different frame geometries at $95. And if you crop hard or print, Smart 06 resolves detail the Ultra's 8MP sensor won't.
Virasight Smart 06 20MP

This is the most expensive pair we sell, and there is exactly one reason to pay the difference: the 20MP sensor. Everything else about it — IPX4, USB-C, 300mAh, 43g, the 52.5 × 21.3 × 150 mm frame — is shared with the $95 Smart 04.
The extra $73.75 buys you resolution, and nothing else. If your footage ends up on a phone screen or in stories, you will not see it. If you crop into a frame, print, or pull stills out of video for a client, you will see it immediately and you'll stop wishing you'd spent more.
It comes in two builds at the same price. The RX version ships with clear non-corrective lenses in an RX-ready frame. The photochromic version ships with adaptive lenses that darken outdoors. Same camera, same body, same money — pick by lens.

Consider another model if: your footage lives on a phone. Smart 04 is the identical frame at $95 with an 8MP sensor — you save $73.75 for a difference you'd need to pixel-peep to find. And if you want longer battery and rain resistance more than megapixels, Vira Ultra is $50 less and better at both.
Vira Ride

Two pairs in the range are built for riding. Vira Ride is the one to buy, and the reason is optics rather than electronics.
UV400 polarised lenses do a job you feel within a mile. Polarisation strips the horizontal glare that bounces off wet tarmac, car bonnets and low sun — so you read the surface ahead instead of squinting through a white band across it. On a three-hour ride that's the difference between arriving tired and arriving tired and with a headache.
The 8MP IMX219 sensor is the only camera in the range we name the sensor for. It captures the descent from your actual line of sight — no handlebar mount to fit, nothing to reach for at 40km/h. Ask the assistant a question with your hands still on the bars.
The frame is modular. Lens and frame separate, so a scratched shield after a gravel spray doesn't retire the electronics. Soft nose pad and anti-slip rubber temple tips keep it planted when you're sweating. Five colourways: Midnight Ember, Coastal Frost, Stealth Black, Shadow Blue, Daybreak Orange.
What we don’t list yet: Vira Ride’s battery runtime, weight and water-resistance rating aren’t on its product page. We’d rather say that than print a number we can’t stand behind. Ask us and we’ll tell you what we know before you order.

Consider another model if: you want a wraparound that doubles as street eyewear rather than a shield. Smart 05 Sport at $127.20 is a 45 × 22 × 128 mm wrap with polarised mirror lenses, IPX4, 4–7 hours of audio and published battery figures — heavier at 53.3g, but every spec is on the page. Ride is the better optic; Smart 05 is the better-documented one.
Smart 01–04 · the $95 family

Here's the part the catalogue hides: Smart 01, 02, 03 and 04 are the same glasses in four frame shapes. Same 8MP camera, same open-ear audio, same 139-language translation, same IPX4, same 4–7 hours of music and calls, same ~50 minutes of continuous video, same USB-C.
So don't shop them on features. Shop them on fit — and then on whether you want clear or photochromic lenses. Every one of the four comes in both.

Smart 02 is the quiet pick. It's the only frame in the family with adjustable nose pads, which is the single most reliable fix for glasses that creep down your face — and it costs the same as the other three.
Smart 03 is a styling choice, not a spec choice. Silver or gold metal accents, in clear or photochromic, at the same $95. If the look matters to you it's worth it; if it doesn't, you're not giving anything up by choosing 01, 02 or 04.
Consider another model if: 4–7 hours isn't a full day for you — Vira Ultra is $24 more and the case takes the battery question off the table entirely. Or if you want clip-on lens sets rather than a fixed pair, Vira Sight at $114 ships with two clip-on sets and a 5MP anti-shake camera with 1080p video.
Clear or photochromic?
You'll face this on nearly every product page, and it changes the pair you live with more than any spec on the sheet.
Clear
Stays clear. Indoors, outdoors, all day.
Choose clear if you're mostly at a desk, on calls, or indoors; if you already own sunglasses you like; or if you plan to fit prescription lenses later and want the simplest starting point.
It's also the honest choice if you dislike the in-between state — photochromic lenses spend a few minutes partly tinted while they transition, and some people find that more annoying than swapping pairs.
Photochromic
Clear indoors, darkens in sunlight, clears again when you come back in.
Choose photochromic if your day moves in and out of daylight — school runs, site visits, market walks, café-to-street-to-café. One pair covers it and you stop carrying a second.
Available on Smart 01, 02, 03 (silver and gold), 04 and Smart 06, at the same price as clear. On Vira Ultra it's one of three removable lens sets.
The windshield caveat, because nobody mentions it. Photochromic lenses are triggered by UV light, and car windscreens block most UV. Behind the wheel they will stay mostly clear no matter how bright it is outside. If your main need is driving glare, buy a polarised pair — Vira Ride or Smart 05 Sport — not photochromic.
If you wear prescription glasses
This is the question we get most, and we'd rather under-promise it than sell you the wrong pair.
What's documented today: two models are listed with an RX build — Smart 01 RX at $95 and Smart 06 20MP RX at $168.75. Both ship with clear non-corrective lenses in a frame built to take a prescription lens.
What we won’t put in writing yet: the exact prescription range, whether progressives work, and the turnaround. Those depend on your script, and a generic answer here would be worse than no answer.
So the honest answer is: message us with your prescription before you order. We reply within a day and we'll tell you plainly whether it works. If it doesn't, we'd rather you didn't buy — the 30-day return window shouldn't be doing a job that a one-line answer can do first.

Your money is buying frame shape and lens type, not capability. Nothing above this tier adds a feature these don't have — it adds endurance, optics or resolution.

Vira Sight ($114) trades a megapixel or two — 5MP with anti-shake, 1080p video — for magnetic fast charging and two clip-on lens sets in the box. Vira Ride ($114) spends the same $19 on optics: UV400 polarised shield and a named IMX219 sensor. Different problems, same price.

The largest jump in usefulness per dollar in the range, and currently the same price as the $114 tier. The extra $24 over the $95 frames buys a 2000mAh charging case, 96-hour standby, IP65 instead of IPX4, Wi-Fi 6 transfer, and three interchangeable lens sets. If you're deciding between $95 and $119, the $24 is the easiest money on this page.

A wraparound sport fit with polarised mirror lenses and fully published battery and frame figures. Buy it over Vira Ride if you want the wrap silhouette and documented specs; buy Ride if you want the better optic and modular lens replacement.

One upgrade, clearly priced: 20MP instead of 8MP, in the same body as the $95 Smart 04. Worth $73.75 if you crop or print. Not worth it if you don't.
Six things we'd want to know before buying
Every pair on this page has these. Read them before you order, not after.
- Camera battery is short, and that's normal for the category. The $95–$127 frames give 4–7 hours of music and calls, but only about an hour of photo use and roughly 50 minutes of continuous video. These are for capturing moments, not filming an afternoon. Vira Ultra's case is the only real answer to this in the range.
- None of these are waterproof. IPX4 covers sweat and rain; IP65 on Vira Ultra adds dust and low-pressure jets. Neither survives being submerged. Don't swim in them, don't wash them under a tap.
- The AI needs your phone. The voice assistant, real-time translation and file transfer all run through the companion app on a connected phone — AIbuds for Vira Ultra, the Virasight app for the Smart range. No phone, no connection, no assistant. Translation is not an offline feature.
- People can see you're recording, and that's deliberate. An LED lights whenever the camera is active on every model that has one. It isn't defeatable, and it shouldn't be. If you were hoping for discreet recording, these are the wrong product.
- Video resolution is modest. Vira Ultra records 1600×1200 at 30fps with a 12-minute cap per clip; Vira Sight records 1080p. Good for point-of-view moments and social. Not a replacement for an action camera on a mount.
- A few specs aren't published yet. Vira Ride's battery, weight and water rating, and Smart 06's battery runtime, aren't listed on their product pages. We'd rather leave a dash in the table than fill it with a plausible number. Message us and we'll tell you what we know before you order.
Getting the fit right without trying them on
Every product page lists three numbers in millimetres — for example 52 – 21 – 150. They are lens width, bridge width and temple length.
The drawer trick. Find a pair of glasses or sunglasses you already own and like wearing. Look at the inside of the temple arm — those same three numbers are printed there in tiny type. Match them and you've solved fit in thirty seconds, without measuring your face.
If you're between sizes, weight the numbers like this:
- Bridge width decides comfort. Too narrow and they pinch; too wide and they slide down. This is the number to match most carefully.
- Temple length decides whether they sit level. Too short and they tilt down at the front; too long and they rock.
- Lens width is mostly proportion and style. A 1–2mm difference here you'll never notice.
Across the $95 family the bridge runs from 19mm on Smart 01 to 21.3mm on Smart 04 — a 2.3mm spread that decides which of them is comfortable on your face. Smart 02 has adjustable nose pads, which makes it the safest choice if you're guessing.
What you're covered for
Returns — 30 days
30 days from delivery, unworn and in the original box. If the glasses arrive faulty or we sent the wrong item, return shipping is on us. For change-of-mind returns, the cost of sending them back is yours.
Warranty — 12 months
Twelve months from delivery against manufacturing faults in the camera, speakers, microphones and battery. Not covered: scratched or broken lenses, drop or crush damage, water damage beyond the model's stated rating, and any unit opened or repaired elsewhere. To claim, email your order number and a short video showing the fault.
Shipping
Orders placed before 2pm on a working day leave the warehouse within two business days, with tracking emailed on scan. Standard is 5–10 business days and free over $150. Express is 2–5 business days at a flat rate at checkout.

US-based, and we reply within a day. If you're unsure which pair fits how you live — or whether your prescription works — ask before you order rather than after. It's a faster answer than a return.

- No strong opinion either way — buy Vira Ultra at $119. The case removes the one thing that makes people stop wearing these.
- You crop, print or shoot for someone else — buy Smart 06 20MP at $168.75. It's the only pair that resolves that detail.
- You ride — buy Vira Ride at $114. Polarised UV400 optics are worth more on a bike than any spec on the electronics sheet.
- You want to spend the least and still get everything — buy Smart 02 at $95. Same features as the whole family, and the only adjustable nose pads in it.

Questions people ask before ordering
How do I pick the right frame size?
Every product page lists three numbers in millimetres — lens width, bridge width and temple length, for example 52 – 21 – 150. The fastest method is to find those same numbers printed inside the temple arm of a pair you already own and like, and match them. If you're between sizes, prioritise the bridge number for comfort and the temple length for whether they sit level.
Clear or photochromic — which should I get?
Clear stays clear all day and suits desk work, calls and indoor use, or anyone who already owns sunglasses. Photochromic is clear indoors and darkens in sunlight, which suits a day that moves in and out of daylight. One caveat: photochromic lenses react to UV, and car windscreens block most UV — so they stay largely clear while you're driving. For driving glare, choose a polarised model instead.
Will people know when I'm recording?
Yes. A visible LED lights whenever the camera is in use, on every model that has a camera. It isn't something you can switch off. That's intentional — the people around you should be able to tell.
Do I need an app?
Yes, for anything beyond audio. The companion app handles the voice assistant, real-time translation and transferring photos and video to your phone — AIbuds for Vira Ultra, the Virasight app for the Smart range. Both Android and iPhone are supported (Vira Ultra requires Android 7.0+ or iOS 13+). Without a connected phone, translation and the assistant won't work.
How long does the battery last?
On the Smart 01–05 frames: 4 to 7 hours of music and calls, around an hour of photo use, and roughly 50 minutes of continuous video, from a 300mAh battery over USB-C. Vira Ultra runs around 11 hours of playback with 96 hours of standby, and its 2000mAh case gives a full recharge in 40 minutes. Figures vary with volume, camera use and connectivity.
Can I wear them in the rain?
The Smart frames are IPX4 — rated for sweat and rain, not for immersion. Vira Ultra is IP65, which adds dust protection and low-pressure water jets. No model in the range is waterproof, so don't submerge them or wash them under a running tap.
Can I get prescription lenses fitted?
Smart 01 RX and Smart 06 20MP RX are built to accept prescription lenses and ship with clear non-corrective lenses. Message us with your prescription before ordering and we'll tell you plainly whether it works — usually within a day.
What's in the box?
It varies by model. The Smart frames ship with the glasses, their lenses, a USB-C charging cable, a cleaning cloth and a user manual. Vira Sight includes two clip-on lens sets and a magnetic charging cable. Vira Ultra includes its leather charging case. Each product page lists its own contents.
What's the actual difference between Smart 01, 02, 03 and 04?
Frame shape, and on Smart 03 the metal accent finish. The camera, audio, translation, water resistance and battery are identical across all four, and so is the $95 price. Choose on fit: Smart 01 is the lightest at 41g with a 19mm bridge, Smart 02 has adjustable nose pads, Smart 04 has the widest bridge at 21.3mm for larger faces, and Smart 03 comes in silver or gold.
Is Smart 06 worth $73.75 more than Smart 04?
Only if you use the resolution. Both are the same 43g frame at 52.5 × 21.3 × 150 mm with the same 300mAh battery and IPX4 rating — the difference is a 20MP sensor instead of 8MP. If your footage goes to a phone screen or social, you won't see it. If you crop into frames or print them, you will.
Can I return them if they don't suit me?
Yes — 30 days from delivery, unworn and in the original box. If they arrive faulty or we sent the wrong item, we cover return shipping. For change-of-mind returns, the return postage is yours.
